About Access AI Education

Access AI Education is an organization dedicated to making AI education accessible to young people. Founded in April 2026, we offer a free introduction to artificial intelligence through classes in schools, community settings, and online.

We help students understand how AI learns from data, why it can make mistakes, and how to approach it thoughtfully. Our program is primarily for ages 6–11. Other ages are welcome.

How the program works

The program runs for four weeks, with one one-hour class each week. All four classes are free. We use explanations, examples, questions, and activities to introduce the ideas below.

Week 1: What is AI?

Explore examples, patterns and predictions; learn how to tell fixed rules from systems that learn from data; and investigate decision trees.

We introduce datasets, a three-question classroom test, and a little AI history. Activities such as Quick, Draw! bring the ideas into view.

Week 2: How does AI learn?

Learn about training examples and labels, supervised and unsupervised learning, and how biased or incomplete data can lead to mistakes.

Apples, animals, and ocean creatures help us explore how a model guesses, checks, and adjusts. Activities such as AI for Oceans open up questions about the data we choose.

Week 3: Generative AI

Explore how generative AI can create text, images and music, how text prediction works, and why clear prompts matter.

We compare creating new content with sorting or recognizing existing information, explore how text generators predict what comes next, and try making instructions more specific.

Week 4: Review and games

Revisit the first three lessons through review questions and games designed to reinforce the ideas.

Return to examples, learning, and generative AI. Connect the concepts, ask questions, and put them into play.
